Terms of Service
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Pinterpost Chrome extension, the Pinterpost website at pinterpost.com, and any related services (collectively, "Pinterpost" or the "Service"). By installing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms reference our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference.
2. What Pinterpost does
Pinterpost is a Chrome browser extension that helps you create Pinterest-ready images using AI. The Service lets you:
- Generate variant images from a source photo you right-click on a supported site, or from an image you upload
- Generate SEO-tuned titles, descriptions, and board recommendations for those images
- Schedule and auto-publish pins to your Pinterest account through Pinterest's official publishing API
The Service is provided as a subscription with monthly credit allowances. Pinterpost is operated by an independent developer team.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service or to subscribe to a paid plan. By using Pinterpost, you represent that you meet these requirements.
The Service is not available where its use is prohibited by law.
4. Your account
To use most features, you create an account using your email address or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials secure
- All activity that happens under your account
- Notifying us at support@pinterpost.com if you suspect unauthorized access
We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe were created with false information or used in violation of these Terms.
One account per person. You may not share your account or transfer it to another person without our written consent.
5. Subscriptions, credits, and billing
Plans
Pinterpost offers tiered subscription plans. Current pricing is published at pinterpost.com/pricing. Each plan includes a monthly credit allowance:
- 5 credits = 1 finished pin (image generation + SEO title + description + board pick + schedule)
Billing cycles
You may choose monthly or annual billing. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
Payment processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the applicable subscription fees. Pinterpost does not store your card details.
Credit usage
Credits are issued at the start of each billing period and do not roll over to the next period unless explicitly stated for your plan. Unused credits expire at the end of each period.
Price changes
We may change subscription pricing. We will notify you of any price change at least 30 days in advance. Price changes apply at your next renewal. You may cancel before then if you do not accept the change.
Taxes
Subscription fees do not include taxes. You are responsible for any sales tax, VAT, or other taxes that apply in your jurisdiction.
6. Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Your remaining credits stay active until the period ends, and you will not be billed again.
No refunds
Subscription fees are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused credits, downgrades, or canceled subscriptions, except where required by law.
This policy does not affect any non-waivable rights you may have under the consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Pinterpost to:
- Generate or publish content that is illegal, harmful, sexually explicit (involving minors or otherwise non-consensual), defamatory, threatening, or harassing
- Violate any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights
- Generate spam, deceptive content, or material designed to mislead Pinterest users or game its algorithms
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
- Access the Service through automated means (bots, scrapers) other than the extension itself
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our written permission
- Use the Service to compete with, build a competing product to, or train a competing AI model
- Violate Pinterest's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines, Stripe's Terms, Google's Terms, or any other applicable third-party terms
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Severe or repeated violations may result in permanent ban without refund.
8. Your content and license to us
What you own
You retain ownership of:
- Images you upload or right-click as source material
- Prompts and instructions you write
- AI-generated images created from your inputs ("Outputs")
Limited license to us
To operate the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
- Process your inputs through our AI image generation pipeline
- Cache and temporarily store images for the duration of generation
- Transmit Outputs to Pinterest on your behalf when you schedule or publish a pin
This license ends when generation is complete, except where retention is required to provide the Service (for example, scheduled-but-not-yet-published pins).
What we do NOT do
- We do not use your inputs, prompts, or Outputs to train any AI model, ours or any third party's.
- We do not sell or share your content with advertisers or data brokers.
See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
9. AI-generated content
Your responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring your use of generated images complies with applicable law and third-party rights. In particular:
- Do not generate Outputs based on copyrighted images you do not have rights to use
- Do not generate Outputs that impersonate real people without their consent
- Do not publish Outputs that violate Pinterest's policies
No guarantee of uniqueness
AI models may produce similar outputs across different users. We do not guarantee that any Output is unique, novel, or free of resemblance to other content.
No traffic or revenue guarantee
Pinterpost is a creative tool. We do not guarantee Pinterest traffic, follower growth, affiliate revenue, or any specific business outcome from using the Service.
10. Third-party services
The Service integrates with the following third parties. Your use of these integrations is also governed by their respective terms:
| Service | Purpose | Their terms |
|---|---|---|
| Publishing pins via OAuth | pinterest.com/terms | |
| Optional Google Sign-In | policies.google.com/terms | |
| Stripe | Payment processing | stripe.com/legal |
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or actions of third-party services. If a third-party service becomes unavailable, suspends your account, or changes its API, your access to related Pinterpost features may be affected.
11. No Pinterest affiliation
Pinterpost is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Pinterest, Inc. All Pinterest trademarks belong to Pinterest, Inc. We use Pinterest's official OAuth and publishing APIs, but the Service is independent.
We cannot guarantee that your Pinterest account will not be flagged, restricted, or banned by Pinterest. Pinterest's enforcement decisions are entirely outside our control.
12. Our intellectual property
The Pinterpost extension, website, brand, logos, copy, and underlying software are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose during your subscription. This license does not include any right to modify, copy, or create derivative works of the Service, or to use the Pinterpost name or logos outside of normal use of the extension.
13. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable due to:
- Scheduled maintenance
- Third-party outages (Pinterest, Stripe, AI provider)
- Force majeure events
- Required changes to comply with law
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes that adversely affect existing subscribers.
14. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT GENERATED OUTPUTS WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS, BE COMMERCIALLY VIABLE, OR PRODUCE ANY SPECIFIC RESULT.
15. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOST GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION.
- OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, in which case the above applies to the maximum extent permitted.
16. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Pinterpost and its operators from any claim, damage, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party right (including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights)
- Content you generate, publish, or distribute using the Service
17. Termination
By you
You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. Account deletion can be requested by emailing support@pinterpost.com.
By us
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you:
- Violate these Terms or any third-party terms incorporated here
- Fail to pay applicable fees
- Use the Service in a way that exposes us or other users to legal, reputational, or technical risk
Upon termination, your access to the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution) will survive.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to Section 19, the state and federal courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction over any claims not subject to arbitration.
19. Arbitration and class-action waiver
Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights.
Binding arbitration
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, except where prohibited by law.
The arbitration will take place in Delaware (or remotely, at the arbitrator's discretion). The arbitrator's decision is final and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Class-action waiver
You and Pinterpost agree that any dispute will be brought in an individual capacity only, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative action. The arbitrator may not consolidate claims or preside over a representative or class proceeding.
Exceptions
This section does not apply to:
- Claims that may be brought in small-claims court
- Claims for injunctive or equitable relief to protect intellectual property
- Claims where binding arbitration is prohibited by applicable law (including the consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction)
30-day opt-out
You may opt out of arbitration by emailing support@pinterpost.com with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out" within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Opting out does not affect your account or your other rights under these Terms.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:
- Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and
- Posting a notice in the extension or sending you an email for significant changes
Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to a change, your remedy is to cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.
21. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Pinterpost regarding the Service.
- Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- No third-party beneficiaries. These Terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights.
